Founded in 1984 by Managing Director, Bill Braysford, the firm began operating from a small unit in the town before Bill was joined by his wife, Joan, and his two sons, Billy and Andrew. By 1985 the business had grown sufficiently to facilitate a move to the current premises on the Riverside Industrial Estate, the site of the former Rishton Paper Mill. This consists of an 8,000 sq ft warehouse and a yard capable of storing up to 1,000 tonnes of waste paper. Continuing to go from strength to strength we now employ 15 members of staff full-time.

Rishton Waste Paper Ltd is a registered carrier with the Environmental Agency.
